My very best mates are Kam Koala, Wayne Wombat, Tracy-Bone Wombat, Keef Kookaburra, Lionel Lizard and the Ringtail Sisters. We all play together in a little Rock Band. We’ve got heaps of other mates like Princess Polly and Prince Patrick Platypus, Casey Croc, Duncan Dingo, Andy Bandicoot, Bonny Bilby and Norman Numbat, just to name a few.

The Fair Dinkum Characters have stacks of fun and get into hilarious situations, but there are certain things we are all very serious about. Like the conservation of our environment and resources, and the protection of all our threatened animal mates, not only in Australia, but right around the world.

Matter of fact, Wayne Wombat has a very distant cousin in frosty old England called Basil Barrington Badger whose coming over for a holiday soon, and Norman Numbats bestest penpal is Pete Praire Dog from the grasslands of USA. Just goes to show we are all in the same neighborhood.

The way my mates and I look at it down here, down under, beyond the back of beyond, is that we are all playing on the same team, and we've got to get "Dinkum" about our world and our environment, and about protecting our animal mates.

We've been talking with the nicest people at a place called the Wildlife Protection Association of Australia Inc. (WPAA Inc). The President is the best bloke, and we all call him Uncle Pat.

We are the ambassadors for WPAA Inc, and champions for a very special project that will involve primary school kids and high school students right around Australia to learn about the environment and wildlife, and how our great world will be better if we all work together and get Fair Dinkum about it.
