A bit of info about us, the Fair Dinkum Characters!
Bob Roo
Tall, charismatic, and a larrikin with a heart of gold.
He reminds you of Paul Hogan’s character in Crocodile Dundee and is in fact good mates with Casey Croc. He is passionate about his Australia and his footy, and really looks out for his mates. He loves his music, loves his Mum, loves his footy and is the leader of the “Fair Dinkum Band”©. Oh, and he really loves his footy.

Kam Koala
Kam is ultra fun loving with a ready cheeky grin and reminds you of Paul from The Beatles. Although he plays guitar left handed he’s not quite Hendrix, but more of an Eric Clapton slow hand (paw). Currently writing folk songs with a definite bush flavour, Kam relaxes after a busy concert with a cup of gum leaf tea. Like his hero Slim Dusty, he “Likes to have a tea with Duncan, he like to have a tea with Dunc”….Duncan the Dingo that is.

Wayne Wombat
Like most bass players, Wayne just kind of stands, grins and takes it easy. He doesn’t say much unless he has something to say, and just holds it all together. His hero was Bill Whynam from the Rolling Stones, even though he thought Bill moved around the stage a bit too much. Wayne is just a sweet, loveable little bloke who loves his friends, is very passionate about environmental issues, and is at University part-time studying soil erosion and its impact on our coastlines for his thesis. Oh, and he’s really passionate about his footy!

Tracey-Bone Wombat
Tracey Wombat is Wayne Wombat’s cousin. But where Wayne is quite and reserved, Tracey is the opposite. Bubbly and chatty and lots of fun. We call her Tracey-Bone because she plays a “Bone”, a (Trombone). She is studying music at the conservatorium of music and can play the trumpet and the flute as well. She brings a “Touch of Brass” to the “Fair Dinkum Band”© that gives them just that tiny bit of what she calls the “BC’s” (Bush Classics).
Talented and gifted as she is, Tracey-Bone is still a very down to earth Australian girl who loves her country and her friends, and playing music with the “Fair Dinkum Band”© to make people happy. She loves footy, but really, really loves the exciting music and entertainment
at the beginning of grand Finals.

Lionel Lizard
The original Lounge Lizard. Very cool, very smooth, very Lionel. He makes Bryan Ferry look like a Grunge. Happiness is a sharp suit, keyboards, cool notes and lazing in the sun. Lionel brings an element of “Jazz” to the “Fair Dinkum Band”© that gives them a slightly sophisticated edge. A part time graphic design student, he has a passion for old theatre posters and album covers, and loves old Chips Rafferty Movies and Cricket. Although he enjoys watching a good game of football, Lionel never shouts out but displays his frill in a dignified manner when his team kicks a goal. He had thought once about waving his team scarf, but couldn’t bring himself to undo his Windsor Knot. Marvelous.

Keef Kookaburra
The original full on, in your face, rowdy Rock & Roll animal. Keef is like Billy Thorpe, Bon Scott and Jimmy Barnes all rolled into one loud, raucous but lovable package, and gives the crowd all he’s got at every performance. Off stage, Keef is a different bloke. Very quiet, pensive and laid back. Except when he watches his team play footy, then you can hear him! Actually everyone can hear him! Keef loves his mum, loves his music, loves his footy and loves his Australia. Oh, and he really, really loves his footy!

The Ringtail Sisters
Rita, Rene and Ronnie are the Harmony Sisters. On stage their back up vocals remind you of Dianna Ross and The Supremes. They are renowned for their crystal clear voices and when they get going there is nothing to compare to their shooby doos and doo whup, whup, whups! Off stage they are very shy and the other blokes really look out for them. Not interested in fame or fortune, they perform for fun and work in childcare for their day jobs. They care very much for Australia and the environment, and although they love their footy, with each girl following a different team, their real passion is for bush badminton.

Casey Croc
Legend has it he’s from a humble swamp background and his real name is Cornelius. No-one has ever seen him without his briefcase or hat and we all know and love him as “Casey”. As the Manager of the “Fair Dinkum Band”. Casey is sharp thinking, sharp talking, wears sharp suits and ties, and cuts sharp deals and contracts on behalf of the band. Casey knows the sharper the deal he cuts for the band (who are lovely creative Blokes and Sheilas, but haven’t a clue about business), the better the deal will be for animal protection, our environment and Australia. Casey’s preferred strategic weapon is the “Power Breakfast” and he loves his footy because he reckons he can learn so much about ethics, fair play, and the cutting of deals from the professional and honest wheeler and dealers of all clubs and codes.

Polly Platypus
“Princess Polly” is a cute, cuddly, unpretentious, true to life little Princess. As one of the worlds most unique creatures and Australia’s most recognizable icon, she still remains a gracious young lady. For all her fame and tender young age, she carries out her important duties very well. However, she has her hands full looking after her younger brother Patrick who is pure mischief and doesn’t take his official duties seriously. Although “Princess P” only has time to attend the very rare concert, she still remains one of the biggest fans of the “Fair Dinkum Band”© and all that they stand for. Oh, and when she has a chance, she loves going to the beach just as much as her younger brother.

Patrick Platypus
“Prince Patrick” is very cute and cuddly but doesn’t give that a thought. Unlike his big sister “Princess Polly”, he doesn’t take his duties seriously at all. Oh he knows he’s one of Australia’s most recognizable icons and his “Dial” is on an Australian coin and all that, it’s just that he would rather be surfing or skateboarding than being polite to important people at official functions. One day he’ll get serious, but not today…. he’s got a surfboard to ride. When he’s wearing his board shorts, Patrick likes to be called “Pat Plat,” and he also reckons the “Fair Dinkum Band”© are the “ants pants”, but would also like them to play more Instrumental Surf Tunes like “Bombora” by the Atlantics.

PR Bell
Park Ranger PR Bell loves all Australian Wildlife and is very passionate about caring for them. She thinks it’s very important that all little blokes and sheilas know how to handle and touch our wonderful wildlife and enjoy and protect them. PR Bell also loves music and dancing and has many favourite bands. Her most favourite band is you guessed it the “Fair Dinkum Band”©. She thinks they are the “ants pants”, and that she is very lucky as she gets to hang out with the Dinkums and all their mates every day.

Uncle Pat
Uncle Pat is the Senior Park Ranger and he drives around in his big Four Wheel Drive looking out for any danger that could hurt our Wildlife. Liker PR Bell, he is very passionate about caring for all our Dinkums and their mates and reckons that caring and sharing is what makes the world great. The blokes and sheilas in the “Fair Dinkum Band”©. All reckon Uncle Pat is the best bloke. But do you know what? Sometimes they play tricks on him, just because they love to hear him laugh. He’s nearly as loud as Keef Kookaburra. Blimey!
